Our Story

Growing up I would see my mom spend hours in the kitchen. The aroma of flavors and spices made me fall in love with her cooking more and more every minute I would spend there.

I would see my mom spend most of her time in the kitchen, I would often wonder how she was able to keep going after I was tired within just 30 minutes of trying to help her. 

After hours of chopping vegetables, kneading dough, keeping eyes on 4 different things at once, she would still have the strength to roll the dough and make rotis (flatbread) for our family of six, just do it all over again the next day and again... for years. 

I thought to myself, there has to be a way that mom could continue to make her delicious food, but not spend so much time in the kitchen so she could enjoy more time with her family, or for herself. 

This thought is was led to the creation of The Roti Maker. 

The Roti Maker was created to help people make delicious ethnic cuisine at home and still have time for everything else. Our goal is to create convenient, easy to use products that make cooking your favorite meals at home fun and easy.

We are a company based out of Toronto Canada. Our products are designed in Canada and manufactured overseas. We have been in business for 2 years now. Year one was completely dedicated to Research and Development, and had a ton of ups and downs.

Late last year, we launched our flagship product The Roti Maker with 10 inch curved marble plates. We quickly found that we were not the only ones who were looking for creative ways to save time in the kitchen without compromising the quality of our food. 

The Roti Maker has helped hundreds of parents, students, cooking enthusiasts, foodies and newbies in the kitchen.  

The struggle to make perfect round rotis and tortillas was real, up until now. Say goodbye to your rolling pin struggles for good!
